DMC Designs

Santa Ana College (SAC) continues to be an innovative leader in preparing students for graphic design careers in the digital media industry.  Currently, students who complete the Portfolio and Business Strategy course, will be eligible to enroll in DMC Designs, the college’s newest program created for individuals to utilize their areas of expertise in a production team environment. DMC Design Works, which is part of the SAC Digital Media Freelance certificate, will provide students with a work-based learning opportunity that will allow them to work in various team roles with customers like the residents of the DMC business incubator. Students will gain experience in:

• Researching and developing brand identity concepts 
• Writing project proposals
• Making presentations 
• Handling critiques, feedback and revisions
• Enhancing production skills for print and screen 
• Working with a team in a variety of roles
• Developing a personal business plan                                                                      

DMC Design Works will also help students enhance their personal portfolios and develop communication skills for interviews or company presentations while contributing to the economic growth of the local digital media community by providing trained individuals for this growing workforce.
